Borderlands - complete remodelling

The original house benefited from amazing views across the valley from its elevated position, but the building was very dated and dull.

This client-led design achieved an extreme makeover that has completely transformed the building into a sleek contemporary showcase house. Large areas of slim framed glazing and a glass balcony make the most of the breath-taking views.

The extent of the works allowed the building to be comprehensively thermally upgraded to modern standards. The materials used - insulated render, textured timber cladding, sedum green roof, and fine line glazing - elegantly come together to give the building a crisp look and a striking composition. Very careful, precise detailing, as well as high quality standards of building, were needed to achieve this high quality transformation.
